Installation Guide

Follow these steps to deploy the Muterconn agent on your system.

Prerequisites

Before starting the installation, ensure you have:

  • An active Muterconn subscription.
  • Root or sudo permissions on the host system.
  • Linux kernel version 5.8 or newer (required for eBPF features).

Linux Installation

To deploy on a standard Linux server, run the bootstrap script:

curl -fsSL https://get.muterconn.com/install.sh | sudo sh

This script will:

  1. Download the compiled agent binary.
  2. Install eBPF kernel headers.
  3. Configure and start the muterconn-proxy systemd service.

Verification

Check the active connection state of your agent:

sudo systemctl status muterconn-proxy

If active, your node metrics and topology links will propagate to the Sight Dashboard in real-time.
